Consider that this machine is battery powered and consider the energy required to move in a cold environment whereupon the machine is always bucking heavy resistance. How much energy can be stored versus how much energy must be expended?
Then the tractor configuration. In theory it looks good. In practice it's not. This configuration became somewhat popular in the 1960's and was quickly discarded. It was very quickly found that when traveling through tight trails or uneven terrain, body english applied directly over the machine was necessary. The tractor can't do this.
As with most "new" ideas, it's not new. It's been tried before and the same rules of physics apply. This to include the fact that a tank of gasoline contains many times the energy of an equivalent weight of batteries.
