P38 magazine

Today I bought a AC 42 P38 and the extra magazine has no waffenamt only stamped P38 over ac, No serial number and the follower has 2 groves on the top I have never saw one marked this way---What have I got???? Danka

    Was the extra mag represented as original Waffen issue? I have no idea what one looks like. Have you tried asking the seller?

    You should have a Waa359 mag with it, but lacking that, look VERY CLOSELY on the back spine for a Waa88 Waffenampt. These are very faint and hard to see sometimes.
    Baring either marking you probably have a post war made mag.

    BTW: Mauserwerk was 135 if I remember right.

    P3, isn't it possible since it has the AC marking that its a legit ww2 mag? I think I have had a few without it? but can't recall 100%

    It's possible, as is anything, but then it would also have a serno. I would really need sharp photos to evaluate.
