Had a great day at the Oaks Gun show in PA. I got two boxes of 257 Roberts for 25 dollars a piece, Magnum Pistol primers on sale for 29.99, He had them for 37, but had them on sale for 29.99 per 1000 , One 1# can of unique for 29.99 and 150 targets for 15 dollars. I was at the show when the doors opened. Very small crowd for a huge show[:0] I also bought a Winchester 30-30 Texas Ranger anniversary edition rifle. I am trading my Tauras 22 Raging Hornet for it straight up. I forgot my Firearms ID card, so I put a deposit on the gun and I am going to his shop soon to make the sale final. I forgot to take a damn picture and it just hit me know[:(!] Oh well. The color of the wood caught my eye. He was asking 875 for the gun. I couldn't get internet reception on my phone to check the price, but I really liked it so I made the deal. Hope I didn't pay to much. Oakie. The targets come 50 to a pack and are different designs. I got one for the 22, one for 100 yards and another for sighting in my Varmit rifles.

Attended a small show today and came out on top.

Saw a CVA 50 Cal Wolf ML $119. Walked away to think about it since I already have 2 MLs. Returned in 30 minutes: sold.

Saw a Heritage SA in 22LR for $199. TZhought about it and passed since I have an accurate 22 DA revolver (a Llama copy of a K22). After looking at the auction tonight, $199 might have been an OK price.

Next up was a Win Mdl 54 with an unusual looking scope and scope mounts: $200! Was heading to the ATM stopped, went back to look at the tag again. There was a faint 1 close to the $ sign a space after (no comma) before the 200. Not worth the $1200.

    Now the good news.

    - A new primos trail cam $40.

    - A jar of 1600+ wheat cents for $35. I search through them and sell to bulk of them for 3 cents each to a local coin store. that's a profit of $13.

    - The rest are from a guy that wanted $20 for a set of 25 ACP dies without any stems.
    - A complete set of 25/35 RCBS dies + trim die
    - A three die set of 219 Zipper RCBS form dies, one's a reamer die
    - A four die set of 250 Savage RCBS form dies includes trim and reamer dies an inside reamer and a .25 ball expander. Receipt in side dated 1980 was for $40.46.
    - $50

Spotted 2 Lyman Alaskan 4X scopes, one with rings. $75 @. Not looking for a scope. Din't look for a model number.

Last weekend I picked up an old Stevens model 94 B in 24 gauge.Thats a 24,not a 28.First one I`ve ever seen.I knew they existed and have always wanted one. Yesterday I picked up a Ruger Super Redhawk in 44 cal.A nice, ported stainless one.It was so purdy I couldn`t walk away from it. The Stevens will be used for rabbits next winter and the Ruger will go deer hunting with me. Toys!

Went to the gunshow and a couple of rifles followed us home. One is a Norinco copy of the Browning 22 semi auto rifle. It is new in the box, with all the paperwork. Gave $150 for it. The other is N.E.F. Handirifle, Youth, Ultralight, in .223. Gave $200, and it has a Tasco 3-9 scope on it. How are these rifles?? What kind of accuracy should I expect?? How was the price???

Went to the local gun show today to get some ammo and check things out...

ended up getting an ingot of silver and these:

    Taurus in .357... box says it's a model 617 2" barrel...considering it's a 4" barrel..meh.. $400 and it's mine now.. [^]

and a single action... barrel says "Rohm... Model 66 .22 Magnum" Cylinder is .22lr...has plastic grips (one is chipped so I'm gonna carve some wood ones to replace) and missing the ejector rod... but for $75, I'm not complaining.

Picked up two guns today, an Enfield IIA .308, and a Gew.88. The Enfield set me back $99. Fair stock, mint bore, good finish. The Gew.88 has VG wood, original bore diameter, original sling, good metal finish... only problem is it has a mismatched bolt with turk markings, though the gun itself hasn't been turked. Price was $120. Can't wait to try 'em out!

Great job! Didn't find much at the gunshow I was at today. Only about 50% guns with the usual overpricing.

I've got one coming up this next weekend but don't have much spare money right now, so my purchases will probably be limited to some good ammo for my new .44 Pug and maybe a holster and a few miscellaneous "finds." I sure wish it wasn't true that "the world doesn't owe me a living." If I could just get Bill Gates to subsidize me....I once heard of a guy who won a salaried writer position by telling the interviewer "you waste more on one mistake on every project than it will cost you to pay me for a year." Now that's cajones. It's also the truth, around the world, in big business -- and government.

I just received e-mail from the dealer who took the two 4473s from me as follows:"Hello, your copy will be in the mail on Monday to you. I will mark it void berfore I send it."I'm glad you guys are here to bounce things off of. Again, I compliment you all on the quality of your remarks on this board.
