Really exotic license plate

I used to enjoy watching for unusual license plates - this was back when there was a single color scheme / theme in each state. With all the various causes, etc., now, one would need a laptop and a pretty huge database just to keep track of what is issued by which state. I guess I've led a pretty sheltered existence because until a trip to OK this year, I'd never seen any of the Indian nation license plates used there (are there similar ones in other states?). But today I saw one that absolutely blew me away. GUAM!! Why would anyone ship a vehicle all the way to the lower 48 from that far away? And no, that is one tourist to whom I didn't give a middle finger salute!

I saw a personalized plate one time that said "PPDR". I asked the guy what it meant and it turned out he is a urologist(sp). [Pee-pee] Doctor.

Had to ask about this one:

    CLEE2P

Turns out it was a urologist named Dr. Lee, it meant see Lee to pee!

That one from Guam was probably a member of the US Military who just got himself and his car shipped back stateside. You should have given him a real salute.

Here in Florida The state issues 38 different plates, IE, save the Panther, Save the Manatee, Florida state Siminoles, and on and on, not to mention all the Personalised plates, and the handicapped plates, and the war vet plates.

Best I ever saw was a tag that read nxt2jptr. I'll give you a hint, the tag was on a saturn vehicle.

This very special plate was given to him by Ed McMahon

Miss.Creant, I thought of the military connection, since Guam is primarily an island base with a small indigenous population. Still, seeing a license plate from that jurisdiction was pretty neat.

Classic - Florida was one of the ones to which I was referring when I bemoaned the explosion of types / themes.

lee - a local grade school teacher has 'ABC123'
