Large rifle or large pistol primers ???

500 S&W Cor-Bon brass takes Large pistol or large rifle primer ???
I have some Star Line with the "R" on them to take Large Rifle primers and I have some new factory Hornady brass and was told they take Large pistol primers , but I'm not sure what to put in the cor-bon brass ???[:o)][:o)][:o)]

Look for the "R" designation on the headstamp. No "R" use large magnum pistol primers. If it has the "R" use large rifle primers.

The first lots of ammo used the large pistol primers, but apparently there were some problems with consistency, so later lots were switched to large rifle primers. That's why there's the "R" headstamp on current runs of brass.
