This my fellow Americans is the ultimate in paybacks to our over paid idiots in the Supreme Court. I really hope it happens. Then maybe those idiots will wise up and pass laws for the people for a change.[:)]

I'd love to see Souter's land taken because of a goofey law he supported. But here in the real world that kind of justice never, ever happens.

People like a supreme court justice can be considered, if not rich, then powerful people. Powerful people don't let things happen to them that they don't want to happen.

    Trust me on this.

    Sad but true!

Too bad nobody is blaming the City of New London for being the ones who actually stole the property in the first place. The Supreme Court didn't take anyone's land, they just said that local government can. Its decision was wrong, but they're more like the laws of physics when you shoot someone - you blame the guy who pulled the trigger. (Although the laws of physics could really use an overhaul in this case.)

OR...IF it did happen, justice Souter could graciously LET it happen as if to say, "See? that wasn't so bad, was it?" Then all of your hollerin' about "payback" would look rather weak-sauce. Refresh me, was Justice Souter one of the dissenters?

The article says he was one of the supporters of the ruling.

    Sweet justice.

An evil tree bears evil fruit. You can destroy as much fruit as you want, but it will always grow back, and it will always be evil.

Tear the tree out of the ground by the roots and burn it. Burn it to ash and grind out the embers with your boot until there's nothing left. Not a single spark. Not a single seed.

Souter is a weak-kneed jerk. He had a term as NH AG (appointed position) before being appointed to the NH Supreme Ct. He had one capital case as an AG, puked in the wastebasket, stepped aside to let an underling prosecute the case and was next seen in a courtroom as a judge. He was a nominal Republican (RINO) in his political life, a chameleon in the shadows during his tenure on the NHSCt & 1st Circuit and revealed himself after he reached the SCOTUS. Has some weird personal habits, never married (never dated?), etc. His family homestead is about all he has for assets, as I recall. I hope he is paid on the same scale as the victims of the New London case.
