No trouble with UPS

Just sent off the first gun I've sold over gunbroker and was a bit worried after reading some horror stories here. Took it to UPS and hand no trouble at all, he just asked to see a copy of the recipient's FFL, and asked me to verify it was unloaded and well packed. This will definately encourage me to use GB in the future.

I sent a rifle UPS one time. The lady at the counter asked if I or the recipient were a dealer. I said yes, and that was it.

In my experience, the local terminal managers have a great latitude in interpreting their company policies. My local UPS mgr won't accept ammo shipments there even when I brought in a copy of the letter from HQ saying it was permissible. OTOH, FedEx was simply a matter of doing the mechanics. And I've heard it go either way in different locales across the country. Has a lot to do, I suspect, with the attitudes of the individual managers.
