Anyone know IL regulations on ammo?

I have some overseas friends who are buying large quantities of collector ammo at auction from a variety of sources. Because the laws in their country (Australia) are even more stupid than KA, they accumulate it stateside and then their collector association ships it all in one huge crate annually, after getting customs permission from some functionary. The speciality freight company they use is in Chicago. They have a guy willing to accumulate the stuff for them in the Windy City, but he knows squat about the regs on metallic ammo as he's a SS collector. One could presume that this shipment would certainly include virtually anything through .50 caliber and possibly larger. Is anyone here familiar w/ what ammo items are verboten to posess in the PRI and Chicago?
