Muslim mutiny..

Does anyone know what has been going on in the Philipines? Who are the Abbu Sayef? I saw a small report that a unit or more of muslim soldiers mutinied against the Philipine militery, took hostages, and began shelling a village, and airport. I don't understand how I missed hearing about something of this importance occuring a week ago. This kind of thing is exactly what I've been saying I thought possible, ever since the taliban (Osama) called for Jihad. Does anyone elce see a conection here?

    Don't know anything about this particular event, but indeed there have been Muslim groups active in the PI for many years. Most have degenerated into ransom-seeking criminal groups, from what I've read. Of course, OBL's calls for jihad will 'inspire' groups of disaffected extremists throughout the Islamic world. In a way, that's good - if we put one between their eyes when they raise their crazed heads.
