how do i figure out the current resale price is on a s&w 4006 40cal.also do i have to look at every listing to find a specific gun (454 cassul) to buy

    That`s funny,we have another jarhead friend here,will270win,who was wanting to sell a Ruger-SRH in that caliber.But check your spelling..I don`t think there is anything "casual" about it!!..just funnin`...search under the spelling of Cassul(sp.?)..218

    resale values can be hard for the average shooter to pin down. Much depends upon condition, but values vary in different regions as well. There are a number of value guides available (The Blue Book of Gun Values, The Standard Catalogue of Gun Values and others). At best these will give you a ball park value. However sometimes (often according to some) the actual prices being brought at gun shows and auctions can be significantly different from the books. A good description here or in Ask the Experts will likly get you estimate of price range from some of the dealers. [This message has been edited by He Dog (edited 11-18-2001).]

    Depending on your preferred time frame, another option would be to monitor actual sales on a few web sites. Figure that you will realize somewhat less trading it to a dealer than making a direct sale.
