copyright infringement?

I've noticed that a lot of valuable info from these forums (and others) gets deleted after a period of time, which is really a shame. The wealth of knowledge here is amazing. I wish I would have asked this a year or so ago....Would it be copyright infringement (or a violation of the GB rules) to create PDFs of threads, that are of value for reference & knowledge to the firearms community, and post them in a searchable, not-for-profit, ad-free environment?

Sounds like a good Idea to me. I don't think anyone would have a problem with it.

All transcripts and descriptions of Homer J Simpson are the sole property of Major League Baseball.Sorry to hear the old stuff is deleted. Lots of great old timers went over the hill, from GB. I wish I had a copy of "Give a Kid a Break....." my tretise about how teenagers should be encoraged to smoke, to lower pregnancy rates. It takes the sexual edge off. My God, did I get hell from a sober sided fundementalist preacherman.

Material posted in a public forum w/o any sort of statement restricting its further publication is not protected by copyright laws under any circumstances, but you should check w/ GB admin to be sure that they don't have some such protection buried in the fine print of the User Agreement or elsewhere. And yes, it is a shame that a lot of good information & OJT insights eventually fall off the back edge of the boards. I think this is a great idea.
