I became a believer in "Break Free" lubricant about a year ago and dropped Remoil because of its preformance in freezing conditions.

I ran across an ad for a synthetic lubricant at www.atlinc.org that claims to increase bullet velocity as much as 360 Ft/sec, condition barrels, provide a tighter shot pattern, remove copper & black powder, and provide rust contol. It claims to be tested and proven. Does anyone have any experience with this wonder space age stuff? The ad claims to be the latest and greatest breakthrough in gun lubrication technology

While I have no doubt there are wonder lubes available that might be able to increase MV one must wonder what happens when this lube is exposed to the 6,000 degree plasma at 60,000 PSI from firing the gun. It would seem that carbon build up would be an issue, at minimum. You might want to go to www.6mmbr.com to see if the bench rest shooters are using it at 1,000 yards. Any product that could give them an extra 300 plus FPS would be gold!!!

Never heard of ATL until you brought it to my attention,thanks.It may be worth a try.I have used CLP Break Free on my firearms in the past with good results.I am sold on synthetic oils and have run Royal Purple oil in my car for several years now.After the engine was broken in using conventional oil,I switched to Royal Purple and the mileage improved from 30 to 32 mpg on the highway.Synthetics also do not thicken when cold or thin out as much when hot as conventional oils do.Just my 2 cents.[:)]
