Don't all dial / digital calipers have the stem for depth?

Not all, Have a SPI (Swiss Precision Instruments) that does not have one. Wish it did, Its one of my favorites.

It is REALLY SHINY/Polished..
And in an oak box..
I had no idea that calipers were available in special anniversay and/or limited edition models.
