EXCUZE ME, 5db - Will is out on the Left Coast. There are considerably more firearms per capita here in the Granite State than in most of the suggestions offered by the others. Believe me, I would *never* guessed my home state. That said, I guess we're just kinda conservative about new ideas . . . but just yesterday, my hunting buddy was thinking about investing in a newfangled brass powder flask; the horn his family has used for the past 250 years is about worn out.

I am from P'cola, lived in AL for a while and the Marine Corps sent me to 29 Palms. If'n ya don't know where that is look for a place in southern CA that is 30 miles from water and 3 feet from hell. I just took a guess at the contest. I have NEVER won anything, this is the coolest.

Heck Will270 iffn ya gotta live in California, 29 Palms is not the worst place, though nearly the hottest. Good eateries are in short supply but the lizards are nice. Congratulations!

Thanks to all that played along. Ron, Thanks for your continued support, I hope the Holidays were good to you and yours. Iconoclast, sorry chap, all I can do is go by what I know as facts. In this case, even Hawaii beat out New Hampshire! Okay so Hawaii was next to last, but still... And listen, it really is okay to try some of the "Suppository" type rifles. Get this, they even have some metallic "cartridges" that have the primer inside! will270win, it might be after you receive this you feel the same way. If nothing else, hang it from your rearview mirror, I've been told it has a very high CDF.

Iconoclast,I am surprised too. I usually head to your state to buy things I can't get here in Mass... And the 250 yr. old reference? Priceless. We just have to keep reminding people that the revolution began in New England...

5db, Now how am I suppose to get one of those on my Ruger 77 MKII synthetic stock, the original version? ?????? By the way, starting a contest and then leaving your post, could be considered desertion, considering we are at war right now, punishable by death.

robsguns, Your not.And as far as "By the way, starting a contest and then leaving your post, could be considered desertion, considering we are at war right now, punishable by death." I ask that you please don't tease me with such solutions! Plus I promise it won't happen again.Seriously, about the 77 synthetic stock, One could always drill then screw a wood screw type sling stud into it but I'm afraid that particular material is kind of rubbery thus not too suitable for such applications. Here's an idea, buy another rifle! it is robsgunS as in plural right?

Dude, You have a wife! You are in! Buy her the rifle! All wives like the idea of their husbands buying them a gift. Just cuz we goof on choosing the actual item can't be held against us forever. Besides I've been told it's easier to get forgiveness than permission... So what's it going to be?
