I've always used Harris bipods, one of my rifles does have an RPK bipod on it though[}:)][;)][:D] The Harris bipods are real steady and durable, the only thing I wish is that they were easier to adjust the leg length on for shooting from uneven surfaces.

    Love them Beavers

I can only second KingJoey's motion here.

Simple, sturdy, durable and fast and easily adjustable.
    Great.

i made a complete turnaround a few months back. i was a supporter of the versa-pod system.....until i got ahold of the newer harris pods. you cant beat the harris. the advantage of the versapod is that you can buy a separate adaptor for another gun and operate off one set of legs depending on what gun your shooting. the versapod does look real "cool" on ar15 type rifles too. a company called outers also has entered the bipod market with a cheaper pricetag than the versapod.i have not tried the outers brand. maybe someone on the board can give a report on outers.
i also heard from a reliable source that KINGJOEY was banned from using bipods on recreational machinery due to the accuracy of his 6mm rifle. i think lawnboy and wheelhorse were the primary instigators[:p][:p][}:)]

Harris, they are the best, most stable and durable ones made. They are a nice compliment to your accu-shot!

I like the Versa pod, If you are unlevel ground and got to do that long shot, It allows you to keep the canting to a minimum. I like my harris to.

I like the harris "S' series, it swivels to level cant, also the legs adjust. What would be nice if they could also make it to swivel horizontally.

I guess since I have 4 of them, I'm a fan of the Harris Bench Rest (BR) style ... For me they are perfect on the bench with legs retracted(6") and just right in prone position with legs fully extended to 9".

I have a Versa-pod but seldom use it ... just not solid enough for my tastes, I like 'em tight ... not loosey-goosey [:D]

I like the "Caldwell" because you haven't the exposed springs and the 3/8" rods, and are easily duplicated to bring the 13" to a 26" from prone to sitting.

Thanks for the replies. I kind of figured Harris would be well represented. Just wondering is there anything about your chosen brand you dislike?

4000 - I picked up a PoleCat mono for my wife's BP and really like it - bipods would of course be Harris. I recomend the mono for any hunter and got another handicapped hunter hooked on one - he has a messed up arm kinda like mine.. Course we ain't really handicapped when we can outshoot[:p], or at least get more lead out there than others[:D]
