Thought these T-10's and static lines might be a blast from the past for ya! Taken at Fort Bragg, back in the days of 110 film cameras.

We always got "in" the plane. Not "on" it like you crazy skydivers!

One of my favorites. I didn't get the guy in the harness, but I know he was "bicycling" like crazy [:D][:D][:D]

Great pictures, they bring back a lot of memories.[:)]

The T-10 and it's variants is probably one of the most reliable parachutes ever devised and the longest in continuous service.
    My friend the T-10. [8)]

Ah yes, the T10 and the static line.
I made 5 jumps with this rig in civilian life.
    A very good chute.

Wearing senior wings (would be master wings if my jump log followed me from Bragg....F-ing PA) I feel cualified to say damn the T-10D (the newest variant with a Universal Static Line Snap Hook) and the -1B family. I thank the lord when I hit the ground, but it is always like a sack of you know what. When you start out at nearly 200#'s then throw on combat equipment plus snowshoes (not worn, tied onto your 1950 you cherry *[;)] ) you tend to hit a little hard, even in the snow. What makes it worth it? The ridiculous rush that comes from exiting an aircraft, but most importantly JM duties. Some cherry * PVT scared to death cause he ain't jumped since Fryar DZ, is all of a sudden confident ( or at lest close to it) because that JM just gave him his seal of approval, these guys put alot of faith in you. All of that aside, nothing beats outside air checks. Hanging out the door, full combat equip, minus 50 temp (130 knots at 800'agl in the winter in AK is a bit cold), kinda get goosepimples even thinking about it.
