Need help with my S&W 457

I took my S&W 457 to the range yesterday. This is the first time I have shot it in about a year and a half. It's just been sitting in the safe, unloaded. I shot 50 rounds of Remington UMC FMJ's, but out of those 50 rounds, I had about twelve that did not extract from the chamber. The gun was clean when I started, so I know that was not the problem. I was using three different magazines and had this problem with all three. The extractor looks good as well. Any idea as to what is causing this?

Too much oil, or oil gelled up maybe?

The cold weather may be causing your oil to gum up. Strip and clean
the chamber of all oil, then try again. After the gun has been out
in the cold a while, wipe the bore and chamber down with a dry cloth to remove any condensation.
