OH: Advocates March For Concealed Carry

Posted 9/29/2003 from ONNNews printer friendly version

"With guns holstered at their sides, about 50 people marched down neighborhood sidewalks in Cincinnati Sunday.

They want to draw attention to their effort to allow people to carry concealed weapons in Ohio.

About eight counter-demonstrators also have come out, carrying signs with antigun messages.

Police cruisers are occasionally passing by to observe both groups walking calmly and staying on the sidewalks in a neighborhood on the city's north side.
The march had been organized in support of a lawsuit to overturn a state ban on concealed weapons.

The Ohio Supreme Court last week rejected the lawsuit and upheld the ban.

The group now plans to seek a bill allowing the hidden guns or will lobby for passage of a state constitutional amendment."

ohioghog: Yeah, I know. We finally had enough of Illinois's super high taxesand anti-gun culture. Weather there sucked too. We moved south almost 3 years ago. Missouri now has conceal carry, and open carry. We like the south a lot.
