Madeira Beach, Florida-AP -- Two men. One beer bottle. One swordfish.Authorities in Pinellas County, Florida, say a man stabbed another man with a swordfish during a fight. That's right, a swordfish. They say the man who was stabbed was beating the other man on the head with the bottle. The stabbed man was hospitalized -- last reported in fair condition. Both men are charged with aggravated battery. This guy's swordfish may not be a match for my catfish.[This message has been edited by alledan (edited 02-23-2002).]

Man stabbed with swordfish?! He better have had a license to carry that swordfish. Maybe we need a five-day waiting period before you can fish...

Yep! This concept is sure to become an ideal form of crime.Soon everyone will be armed with the "catch of the day".After awhile some inventive people will come along with accessories to upgrade them-viola! enter the assualt fish!Gangs of thugs wearing hip boots will appear everywhere. The news media wll not hesitate to report all "drive by fishings" causing a nationwide uproar.Congress wii enact the 2002 NFA [National Fish Act].All fish with fins the shape of pistol grips, high capacity mouths,a bubble hider and proboscus[sp]lug will be banned.Fully automatic assualt fish will require a special license. Any fish equipped with a can will also require special registration. The new law will be enforced by the FDA.[This message has been edited by alledan (edited 02-23-2002).]
