Bagram, Afghanistan-AP -- Some changes in eastern Afghanistan. The Canadian Press news agency says Canadian forces are expected to leave a key valley today -- after searching caves for al-Qaida fighters the last few days. One Canadian commander described the area as "grotesquely rugged terrain."About 500 Canadian, American and Afghan allies have been searching the caves this past week, with Operation Anaconda in the "mop-up" phase. They report finding what they call "spider holes" -- holes used by enemy fighters for disappearing into the rocks.Coalition forces found one hole that led to an underground bunker. In the bunker were rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition, medical supplies and I-Vs hanging from the cave ceiling. The U-S military says allied forces have encountered little resistance.
