Found the Stinger pengun site using "Google" tonight. This brand, which erroneously claims to be the only pengun (unless they also make the Quicksilvers), also says they have not been an AOW since 1991. You can even have one with a sniper barrel (!) Site is:

Looked at one of these at a local store recently.......pretty crappy, in my opinion. I could find many better uses for $300. :)

It might be a cute novelty, but it doesnt look a damn thing like a pen.

You might be able to get away with it if you've got it in your shirt pocket with the pen tab showing. But if you're gonna use it as a "last ditch backup" type gun, you've got to pop it open, unscrew the safety, then pull a trigger.

Better off with a subcompact .380 if you need an ankle or pocket piece.

Personally I think its a waiste of money, and metal. But would make a good coffee table piece...

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Quality not there. When I examined the thought that went through my mind was, 'total false security'. I've always heard never take a knife to a gun fight, but I'd rather have a 4 inch blade than that thing.

Hell, we may be missing the boat here! Go to their website, (address above), and check out the "Flare Gun" attachment that comes with three flares. This appears to me to be just the thing for "walking home one dark night while totally drunk." If you can bend that damned pen over properly and if you can get a flare onto it to launch, you will be able to "light your way." ..... (Hic)! Wooooweeeeee! (Hic)!!

That thing ain't much more than the tear gas pens that was sold years ago for $4.95.
People used to take them and convert them to differnt small calibers and shoot them-not me!
