What we see here are states that use tax to infringe on peoples constitutional rights. We have already heard the moans and groans of possible increased taxes on ammo. What will be next-the guns themselves? Without a doubt this will happen in the near future as this virilent idea spreads.
They will keep on taxing until evcn a beer will be too expensive to buy.
This new tax we have just had here in Ohio was to help BAD state management bring down a large deficit not for the benefit of anyone or nothing other than the deficit.
Michigan it looks like your next on the tobacco tax[or is it something sinister?]
Undated-AP -- They'd rather quit than pay.
Anti-smoking groups say higher cigarette taxes are prompting more and more smokers to give up the habit.
The head of an anti-smoking program at New York's Beth-Israel Medical Center says enrollment has doubled.
Local and state taxes in New York have pushed a pack of puffs to more than seven dollars, the highest in the nation.
Seventeen states have boosted cigarette taxes this year.
In Illinois, where taxes have been increased to 98 cents a pack, the American Lung Association says its "Quitline" is receiving about 50 percent more calls each day.
Smokers wanting to quit are also said to be turning to local organizations and visiting Web sites for information.

It's just like the Mega millions lottery game. The odds are so high that it is almost if not impossible to win. The old big game odds were 1 in 76 million. The mega millions game is 1 in 135+ million.
Games like these are geared to garner huge amounts of money for the state. I can only guess that there are lotteries out there from other states that do the same-maybe even worse! Lotteries in a sense are a type of tax but most are rigged to steal from you by stirring images of great wealth and grandeur that most people will never experience.
It appears that it is easier to tax your rights away than it is to legislate them away! The dogma of the situation is that most Americans will swallow this hook, line and sinker and set back and let this happen. Why they allow themselves to be deluded by useless politicians peddling these lies I may never know. I guess they are just to comfortable in their lifestyles to give a damn!
