Why has no one called it Cowardly?

I have been reading all the papers, listening to the radio, and not once have I heard the term 'cowardly' used to describe this action.I can only hope that there is a special place in whatever afterlife they believe in for people who perform cowardly deeds such as this.May their people weep as we have wept for the innocent lives that were taken today by this COWARDLY act.

And they keep referring to it as a terrorist act, it would be more appropriate to refer to it as an ACT OF WAR!

Do not dignify this action as war. War has rules. These people do not follow rules. Similarly, we should not be restricted by the rules of war in dealing with them.

rsnyder55 is exactly right."They bring a knife, we bring a gun. They send one of ours to the hospital, we send one of theirs to the morgue. So endith the lesson"By WHATEVER means necessary!!!!Tell the bleeding hearts to go to hell and get on with it. Bomb 'em back to the stone age. Where's Harry Truman when you need him?Mudge

I dont know that I'd call the acts of suicide bombers and kamakaze pilots, cowardly. They believed in their cause enough to sacrifice themselves with no chance of survival. Having no fear of death, that deterrent value is lost and we are looking at really dangerous adversaries. It would seem that their deaths is the only deterrent and it is time to smite them all with the edge of the sword.

while I probably agree with most of all of you, I have to mention that the contry Ben Laden lives in (can't spell it right now) already lives in the stone age. And yes, one can say that the suicide bombers are not cowards (hey, it would take a whole lot for me to give up my life) the cowardly part comes when you realize that the planners and the ones who actually helped do the terrible deed try to hide or deny it. That is the cowardly part. And if they are acting for God, as they claim (does God really need the help of some dirty rag head?) then why are they too cowardly to admit what they are doing or what they did?
