for sellers on the auction side

Are any of you folks having problems with the emails you send to buyers going to their spam file. I usually send an email within minutes of an item selling explaining how to finish the auction. For maybe the last two months I have had a number not go to the buyer's email. Don't know why. I have been hearing a lot lately about youtube coming down hard on the conservative and gun posters. I wonder if there is some kind of back door left wing conspiracy at work here??[:0][:)][:0]

how do you deal with all the people wanting to make deals offline, first I just would delete their mail, then I sent a big NO, still some of them keep comming,I am not a dealer ,I say so in my auction,I am selling the first guns I have sold on gunbroker, just safe cleaning things I have not shot for years too help finance my sons new match AR and all the toys that go with it.So far out of the 4 I have sold I already have a non-paying bidder "said his 8yr old son bid on it,not him" and 1 guy that wanted to renegotiate the winning price after he won and got mad at me when I told him no, He paid his bid price BUT HAS THREATENED me with bad feedback and he has not even got the gun yet,I just got his money today,do ya'll get a bunch of these fruitcakes too or is it just me ? I think its because I say in my auctions that I am not a dealer

admin if you read this you should have a link where we can foreward the e-mail wanting to go around gunbroker,if you have one for that I have not found it yet...

I would suggest sending all of these concerns to Admin via email (look it up in the member list) or check the home page under sellers tutorial for instructions on how to deal with problem bidders/buyers.

It does sound like you're having more than your share of problems. In 60+ GB auctions I haven't encountered any of what you mentioned.

    Good luck.

There are rules for buyers and sellers. My suggestion is to simply follow the rules and for those that try to get you to bend them, tell them to get lost. And don't let anyone threaten you with bad feedback. Feedback goes both ways and on GB, it can be edited, and you can post a response. Quit worrying about the small-minded.

Know what you mean, I initially had a lot of good buyers when I first started selling in Dec, and the last 2-3 months I have had a lot of people who respond at first and never again, and never send payment. I currently have about 7 or 8 nonpaying bidder reports going on. Usually only do them after 3-4 weeks of no response or payment, but it seems to be the norm these days. Either a buyer sends the payment immediately or not at all it seems. I also had a guy that said his son bid when he was on vacation, and then said he had no money. I offered to give him a month to pay, but he still refused.

Thanks for unlocking this thread, Nunn. There's hope for this forum after all. When I saw it locked before, I was going to post a thread but figured saxon or who ever locked it originally, didn't deserve a the attention. There's been so much Poofing here lately, It seems like kindergarten.

Feedback now allows for editing and rebuttal. Post the buyer an A for prompt payment - you can lower the evaluation later if necessary.

Sideline deals are not supposed to happen here to begin with!

You are correct in selling your items by auction. If you are not careful sideline deals can get you screwed!
