Yea Steve I know what you mean, like all those nuts who believe in a conspiracy to take our guns so we can have a one world government. Sheesh, who would have ever thought.

Woah! Guess this means that even paranoids have reals enemies! ??? As a former Army Officer, may I ask WHY would the military need any special "signs???" They only need to go to the local gas station and buy a map.How weird is this gonna get?

Jeenyes, As far as guns being taken away that is due to pressure from people in this country who have nothing to do with firearms. They dont own a gun and never will. All a gun can ever do (in their opinions) is hurt them or their families. They are afraid of guns and want that fear taken away. As far as this one world government nonsense, do you think anyone in Washington wants to dilute their power by sharing it with someone from another country? Washington politicians have huge egos, their not giving an ounce of their power to anybody. Politcians from this country cant agree on anything or even get together to make a decision. Now you think that they can agree with people from other countries and make huge sweeping decisions against their own people putting thousands or millions of them in jail? Dont forget that these thousands or millions are also taxpayers, the politician that puts the most of his people in jail loses that tax revenue and weakens his own power structure. (references to thousands or millions are from other posters on this topic.)BULL$HIT

Now see, there ya go. I never said I believed it. I said I had never looked into it, just asked if anyone had seen it?Your the type person, that when someone asked a question you will jump right in and tell them all the cons and pros like they are stupid, and never answer their question. And they most likely knew everything you told them anyway. Maybe more.

I've heard stories similar to this...and of large tracts of land in remote areas, all fenced off with constantino wire. Concentration camps set up by the U.N... And lets not forget about the fact that U.N. troups are already in the United States. Ever take a look at the sides of many of the metal ammo boxes available at gun shows? they have U.N. stensiled on them....let me get this streight, the conspiracy is for the U.N. to secretly import thousand of empty ammo cans, just so we can pay $5-$10 bucks each....OH WAIT, maybe they are trying to make sure their property markings are already on them once we fill 'um up....Watch out for the Jackboots...And what about the storie that was going around a while back about how the U.N. sponsered a survey that was administered to recruits fresh out of boot camp, trying to determine who would stand against fellow citizens if the orders were passed down to confiscate all privately owned weapons.....

I am going to go against the flow here. I have heard about this back 2 or 3 years ago and we did some checking in our area. (I haven't heard anyone willing to do that yet here.) We did and there is definitely something to this. Our public school has these markers on the signs very similar to the ones pictured on the web site. They took down perfectly good road signs and erected these new ones with reflective stickers on them. These are also found at the State Police Post, the airport, and our hospital. They all went up in a very short period of time. Also after the Sept. attacks, the DOT put up new signs with color coded stickers on the back at a nuclear plant not far from our town. I also have a friend who has a relative who is high up in the Indiana DOT and said that the signs with markers ARE for the military! As far as military not using signs, well this is ridiculous! The military training I've seen has all kinds of markers, signs, symbols, as signals and color coded schemes. As a matter of fact there is a symbol used in my old Guard field training manual in the tactical section on symbols that has a helicopter symbol as an "arrow" pointing up with two >< on either side of the arrow shaft. Interesting, it looks alot like what is described on that web site. I live near a military training base and there are military markers, number codes, and signs belonging to the N.Guard on ALL routes leading to it. To say the military doesn't use signs and markers is just not true.We also have civil defense routes in our town that are marked with blue signs with an (white)arrow pointing up that says "disaster escape route". Going back to another post, 'with all this high technology, why do they need to use signs when they can go to the local gas station and get a map?' Why don't you go ask the city planners? I suppose in a blackout at night some reflective signs and markers might come in pretty handy in a disaster scenario. Even our local fire dept. has reflective signs marking their deep well access tubes out here in the country. I'm sure they know where they are and have maps, but they mark them anyway. Probably for pumper trucks from other counties who don't know the area that well that are fighting forest fires out of thier districts. For my part, I BELIEVE there is something to this. And I don't feel the arguments against it stated here are very strong at all. Some are rather shallow as a matter of fact.CARRIERWAVE~

My sense is that this is complete bunk. First of all, looking at the website makes me think that some pop-up ad is going to jump out selling ginsu knives...And the link to MSNBC to try to make it seem credible...

Drove across town today to pay my respects to my friendly gun shop and write them check of course. On my drive to and from I looked for some of these "Tagged Signs", didn't see one even on new ones. Just a few tagged by the local "Wanta-be gang-bangers"I guess we have been left out of the on coming take over.

Does this mean that the DOT has high-level government clearance, and none of them talk about it to anyone? Or does it mean that the DOT is actually a federal entity with powers to do more than fill potholes?

Steve45, Is the 45 your age or your IQ? Pretty evident that no matter what evidence is presented, you have no problem debunking it with your phone book education. Is it possible that the civil defense actually marked buildings a few years back for emergency use? Nahhh, that just being paranoid, right? Those emergency escape routes? Nahh, more paranoia thats all.Why don't you just admit it, you're ignorant on the subject and despise anyone daring to challenge your intellect, if you have one. Some people just refuse to be taught anything. Check your PHONE BOOK on that one. Maybe try looking up the word "MANNERS".Of course that would entail you checking another source outside the 'yellow pages' called a DICTIONARY. It is one thing to disagree with someone, but being rude and casting insinuations is only the sign of a bitter and ignorant individual. CARRIERWAVE~

Wow carrierwave, a lot of anger there. Im not going to return the name calling, it means nothing on the internet. Do me a favor and tell me why our government is going to allow the U.N. into our country? Id like to hear some solid reasoning on this.

Oh, because I called you rude, ignorant, and bitter? I think it fits pretty well. That's not name calling, that's observation. Maybe you aught to go back and read some of your posts to the other members. I did, and you don't impress me with your rudeness. You aught to treat people with more respect sir.I was brought up to give every man a fair hearing, I don't have to agree with him, but I have no right to call what he believes as "CRAP", or your favorite word "PARANOID". These are words used to cover up ignorance for lack of substance, and brother that is you. It just might be possible that someone might know more than you do about a subject. "CRAP" and "PARANOID" are pretty cheap discussion tools that prove nothing but your own arrogance and ignorance. As far as your U.N. inquiry; change your attitude and maybe we could talk, I have lots of information on that subject and you might even learn something, heaven forbid! CARRIERWAVE~ (P.S. Judge Dread, you are probably right, but anyone can change if they are humble enough. I appreciate your comments though, God Bless! C.W.) Hey guys, I had a horse and two cows mutilated about twenty two years ago in a pasture in central Nebraska. No *! Also had a goat killed inside a locked barn, no way it or out, had some interesting organs missing. I seen it with my own eyes, one cow was mine. After seeing that, you keep you opinions to yourself and keep a open mind! I don't think it was green men, but somebody did this.

I don't know about the sign stuff, it is possible, All military exercises use signs and signals. We have gone out of our way in the US to make the international sign system a part of our highway system. One would hope that it is intended to promote good will and tourism. The question I'd like to have answered is, Why is NATO going to be flying AWAC missions over the US? The site at the bottom of jeenyes'original post relates to the msnbc coverage of the story. It just doesn't seem necessary or right to have more foriegn pilots in our airspace in military aircraft with such technology available to them. Maybe the signs are there after all.

Steve45...I think you are on to something. There are a lot of guys on this forum who see deadly boogy men under every bed. For some reason a lot of these conspiracy buffs are also supporters of the Second Amendment. Makes me kind of wonder....I recommend they get a flashlight with lots of fresh batteries ans sweep the light under their beds....It will help keep all those bogey men away. Hang in there Steve you are doing Ok! Beach

Thanks Beach, I think of it this way. If you were on the fence and had to vote for gun control or against gun control. And you came to this web site, and you read all this crazy, paranoid stuff, and then the person writing it ends with Good, Bad, who cares as long as Ive got the gun! How would you vote. I feel like sometimes gun owners are their own worst enemy.

Steve45. I don't think it is rude to attack someone's thoughts on the post. I think this information you brought is crap, but that is no reflection on you. I don't think you are stupid or ignorant for posting it, but I hope you don't think that it is rude if I say it seems pretty ridiculous. Just my opinion. If you have ever worked for the government, you would know that these conspiracy theories are all ridiculous. It is a miracle that I get paid every other week, there is no way this government could pull something this complex off. Have you been to the registry of motor vehicles lately???
