Sig-man, Have a great time but watch out about shooting "LOW FLYING BIRDS" I know you probably are thinking birds more in reach of a 20 or 28 as far as being up over you, but you don't shoot low flying birds! That is rule number 1 in a dove field!! Too many other people out there and peppering somebody or getting peppered is no fun! GHD

Good luck, it's a lot of fun. I know I will be up bright and early tomorrow.

I live in Wisconsin. Some 100 years ago someone named the dove a state peace symbel. so we have never had a season. Then last year they went through all the debates, votes meetings and goverment app.the season was to start that sept 1 just on the friday before some tree hugger went to a judge got a injuction to relook at the season 3 days before it was to open. One judge can undo a 2 year ordeal in 3 seconds

Sig-Man, How did it go? I took Sarah, and the gunsmith buddy of mine and his 3 sons. If I had shot one more time I think my arm would fall off!! Sarah didn't kill any but she shot, pulled feathers, and generally had a good time. 2 of the boys killed limits and I did too!! The limit is 12 per gun right? I won't say how many guns I took. Had to do some R&D you know. GHD

I want details on how it went.

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

My daughter put a box of shells through her Remington sportsman 58 20 guage. She didn't cut a feather but there will be plenty of time for that after all she is only 5, I know I set the hook because that is all she has talked about, she wants to hunt deer cause their bigger and easier to hit according to her, going to try again saturday and this time I,m taking the wife so she can use her sportsman 58 16 guage, who knows maybe she will be more understanding in the future, I'll keep you posted....
