Just a simple phone number

I am drawing a big blank as to where to look on the Internet for someone's phone number in a different state. I grew up with a guy that I was close to all thru high school and we he worked for me on the farm helping us put in hay in the summer times. He stayed in our home town and I moved to Florida and have lost all contact with him over the years. I am trying to find a web site that is totally free that I can enter in his name and address and it will give me his simple phone number. Does anybody know of a site that is free and not complicated to find someone's phone number. I'm drawing a blank. I tried several but they all wanted to charge money in the end.
