I am going to wyoming this fall to hunt pronghorn. I am wondering what gun to use my 7mm mag. or my 284 win.

Visited the ranch where I will be hunting in a couple of weeks. The stand where I will set up the first day is within 100 yards of the Cimerron Cutoff of the Santa Fe Trail. Is that cool or what?

    He Dog,
Good luck on the prong horn hunt. What are you using? I have taken em with 270, 30-06, and my favorite .308. Going bear hunting this year but back to WY next year for antelope. I just love it out there.

Thanks 96, We have applied in Wyoming several times and have never gotten drawn, took a while in NM too. Thinking about using one of the .243's, but may use a .270. Good luck on the bear hunt!

HeDog - Would that be the Johnson Ranch, just south of Glendo ? I have hunted that ranch and have pics of the marker there.
