When reloading a bolt action rifle should you keep the rifle on your shoulder, and move your hand off of the trigger and cycle the bolt?(The way I do it) or should you bring the rifle down and then cycle the bolt?( way I see other people do it, and the person in RUGERNINERs signature thing do it)

Depends on whether you want speed of reloading...or just get another round in the rifle ?
A running deer,a charging bear,wartime...you better reload with your cheek on the stock, butt into the shoulder..when you come down off recoil, you are ready to shoot again.

    God,Guts,& GunsHave we lost all 3 ??

You would do well to practice cycling in a fresh round with the rifle mounted. It is not any less safe, and if you should need the speed in the future it will be second nature.

If your a lefty shooting righty bolt, you gots no choice. I can shoot a bolt almost as fast as I can shoot a pump gun, even with the lefty disadvantage ... PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE !
