She's a traitor and nothing was done about it. Slick willy is a traitor and nothing is being done about it.
How many of you have used that * fonda's video tapes and weight reduction products, or allowed your wives to use them? The American people are enriching that communist *.

I'm sitting here scratching my head wondering why anyone would want to recognize her for anything. I remember from the late 60's she played in a movie "Klute" and was a prostitute in it. Then played in a movie called "Barbarella, and liked to do the same kind of thing. Thats it! Her next assignment was to try and act as a voice for the American people, but I think she forgot to ask Americans if it was o.k. Hang Her!

While I think the this * should still be in prison and I KNOW that she will burn for all eternity; this story is an urban legend and is not true. If it were true, somebody would have fragged her by now. Go to http://www.snopes2.com/

There is a picture of Hanoi jane sitting in the gunner's seat of a NVA anti-aircraft gun, as if she was shooting at American planes. I hold her actions (and the actions of the other 'peace' protesters) directly responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths including many thousand Americans.

I'd say she is DIRECTLY responsible for the deaths of the three that died as a result of her turning over their ss# to the NVA. I.E., she KILLED three American Soldiers during a time of war. She should be treated as any other traitor and tried for treason.

Simon, the problem is that she did not do it. It is an urban legend and not true. Not to defend that commie * but lets condem her for stuff she did, not a made up story that has been floating around for years.

My fondest memories of Hanoi Jane are from my time at Ft. Bragg. Several bars in Fayetteville had urinals with piss mats of her in them. I got the distinct pleasure of pissing on her face repeatedly.

    AHHH the good old days!!!!!

    For Shootist3006,

I am a public high school teacher and, wait just a minute, don't throw that...I am one of you, life member of the NRA, member of the Western Missouri Shooters Alliance, pro-Second Amendment to the core, and like some of the rest of you, conservative Constitution quoting, and with a Bible in my car!

Okay, here is my question. Because I teach on the Vietnam War, and that commie traitor Jane, what about her is true? I am not asking to be confrontational or contentious. I simply want to make sure I have my facts straight so I don't repeat urban legends. So far, what I do is show my students a picture of Jane in the AAA battery in Hanoi and I show them the quote from Fonda about how if Americans understood communism they would get down on their knees and beg for it. That's it, no more. Is at least that part true? If yes, any sources on her I would appreciate it. I always have students who are commie left-over hippies who say all this stuff about Jane isn't true.

    Thanks...

Notpars, I wouldn't hold your teacher status against you, I have the highest respect for teachers who can TEACH (as opposed to overpaid babysitters who can only parrot the party line and object to performance measurement). I taught for a few years and couldn't take it. Not enough patience - expected to tell 'em something once and have them remember it

Re: Ms Fonda, I have tried for years NOT to think of her and cannot provide any direct sources for you (but it sounds like an interesting research project with an article or even book as the result - hmmm). What I remember is the following: The infamous AAA picture. Putting that picture in perspective, it was taken near the end of the war when hundreds of American flyers were suffering in NVA prisons and thousands were dead, all due to NVA anti-air weapons She made numerous, well publicized statements to the effect that killing American troops was OK because we were aggressors and baby killers She (along with her husband Tom Hayden) was one of the most visible pro-Viet Cong demonstrators/activists, using her celebrity status to help brainwash an entire generation

In my opinion, Fonda and the rest of the anti-war crowd were responsible for the outcome of that war. Without their efforts, we would not have withdrawn the way we did, the high-level conflict would have stopped after TET68 and thousands of Americans (hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese) would still be alive. Read Giap's memoirs for his appreciation of the assistance they got from the American anti war (pro-VC) crowd. Paraphrasing him (re:TET) was that they lost on the battlefield but won the war in the American press and that the protesters were their best weapon (words to that effect, need to go back and re-read).
