Guns! Guns! Guns!
There is a picture of Hanoi jane sitting in the gunner's seat of a NVA anti-aircraft gun, as if she was shooting at American planes. I hold her actions (and the actions of the other 'peace' protesters) directly responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths including many thousand Americans.

We only have a few special years with our children in which they desire our time, attention, and love. After that time is over, it is gone forever, and we will be the ones that desire their time, attention, and love. Make those few, short years count -
Save, research, then buy the best.Join the NRA, NOW!Teach them young, teach them safe, teach them forever, but most of all, teach them to VOTE!

Jane is still a waste of good skin however
Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

I am a public high school teacher and, wait just a minute, don't throw that...I am one of you, life member of the NRA, member of the Western Missouri Shooters Alliance, pro-Second Amendment to the core, and like some of the rest of you, conservative Constitution quoting, and with a Bible in my car!
Okay, here is my question. Because I teach on the Vietnam War, and that commie traitor Jane, what about her is true? I am not asking to be confrontational or contentious. I simply want to make sure I have my facts straight so I don't repeat urban legends. So far, what I do is show my students a picture of Jane in the AAA battery in Hanoi and I show them the quote from Fonda about how if Americans understood communism they would get down on their knees and beg for it. That's it, no more. Is at least that part true? If yes, any sources on her I would appreciate it. I always have students who are commie left-over hippies who say all this stuff about Jane isn't true.
Thanks...

Re: Ms Fonda, I have tried for years NOT to think of her and cannot provide any direct sources for you (but it sounds like an interesting research project with an article or even book as the result - hmmm). What I remember is the following: The infamous AAA picture. Putting that picture in perspective, it was taken near the end of the war when hundreds of American flyers were suffering in NVA prisons and thousands were dead, all due to NVA anti-air weapons She made numerous, well publicized statements to the effect that killing American troops was OK because we were aggressors and baby killers She (along with her husband Tom Hayden) was one of the most visible pro-Viet Cong demonstrators/activists, using her celebrity status to help brainwash an entire generation
In my opinion, Fonda and the rest of the anti-war crowd were responsible for the outcome of that war. Without their efforts, we would not have withdrawn the way we did, the high-level conflict would have stopped after TET68 and thousands of Americans (hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese) would still be alive. Read Giap's memoirs for his appreciation of the assistance they got from the American anti war (pro-VC) crowd. Paraphrasing him (re:TET) was that they lost on the battlefield but won the war in the American press and that the protesters were their best weapon (words to that effect, need to go back and re-read).
