I'm having one of these done thursday and friday mornings. Anyone here been through it? I'm wondering what to expect.

    I have, more times than I can remember. I have it in conjunction with a jolt of thalium.

    Don't worry about it. You will feel your heart speed up and you may or may not get a hot flash. Relax. It doesn't last long.

    Here's a link that explains everything about it. It's a "convenient" way of doing a stress EKG. You should have no problem with it.

    Thanks guys. A month ago when they scheduled this I was as sick as a dog. I feel pretty good now. I think I had a lung infection, the Dr's totally ignored that because my bp was 157/110. I've been checking it daily and I've been averaging 140/88 for 2 weeks now. I still think they missed something when they didn't pay attention to my lungs. I'm still having a hard time breathing. But they are the doctors, I'll let them check everything out.

    I get this done about every six months (ha "I get" - more like 'they do this to me'). Not a big deal but you do get durn hungry!
