This is probably a topic for Shootist 30-06 and of little interest to anyone else. But I saw a Winchester M1 receiver(early mid-WWII range) that appeared fairly correct with WRA bolt and trigger group. What threw me for a loop was that it had a Winchester barrel dated mid-67. Now I've heard of Springfield Armoury barrels that late and I know some M1's were arsenal rebuilt as late as the late 60's but I've never heard of a military Winchester barrel that late on an M1. Can anyone shed a little light on this. Many thanks, Beach

Beach - .308 barrel maybe??? I've never heard of any NEW Mil. barrels manufactured that late except for the Navy .308 conversions. Just a guess 'cause otherwise I've no idea at all.
