Wanted gunowners to boycott H&R Block

H&R block has desided to support the gun grabbers. I have included a link so you can read it for yourself. Please call H&R Block and tell them you will no longer be doing business with them and why. damned shame- after seeing Block's ad in the latest "Rifleman", I was fixing to take my tax stuff to them. Guess I'll have to find another resource now.

I think we should all get together and flood H&R Block with thousands, if not millions of e-mail to protest their decision. The article said they received hundreds of complaints from the anti's, which isn't much compared to what we gun owners can do if we stick together. Go for it.Gino

If I'm not mistaken, which would not be the first time if I was mistaken, but isn't H&R Block owned by Sear&Roebuck. If so, why not boycott Sears?

Just for your info. H&R Block is there own company on the NYSE, symbol HRB. Sears does not own them, however, there are probably a bunch of mutual funds that own their shares in each fund.Frank

I just sent my opinion and was told I would get an e-mail response in 2 to 3 business days, we'll see but here's what I sent:I have just learned that H&R block has decided to cave in to the Left Wing Political Crowd and in an attempt at political correctness sever your relationship with the NRA.I would hope that this information is false and that you are not severing association with the NRA at all, or making a stand against freedom and the second amendment a part of your corporate strategy.I have enjoyed using your tax program Tax Cut Deluxe From H&R block for 4 of the last 5 years and it has been a great help to me in several confusing instances. I had just sent H&R Block a letter letting them know that I will post up a copy of the letter pertaining to "The Million Mom March" at every establishment I come to. I told them,the best thing they could do is reciede From the backing of such organizations.I'm Sure that none of my family or friends will ever support H&R Block again unless they reciede from those backings. Lets go guys, we need alot of letters to them. Thanks, Ken

I just emailed H and R Block and informed them that the 22 years history between us was completely over. I also told I will inform as many people as possible about their decision. I will also telephone my HR block representative I deal with and inform them.

I also received a response from them...They said they had no intent to get involved in a political situation and ..Either were going to ..or alresdy had severed the relationship that was being used for political(sic.ANTI-GUN)purposes..I don't know how to verify that?????

H&RBlock offers its products and services to all taxpayers.The company does not take a stand on social issues outside the realm of tax and financial services. This tax season H&R Block entered an agreementwith a marketing company to expand our ability to marketour tax products and services. A number of organizations interpreted this agreement in a way that had H&R Block taking a particular side of a social issue-something our company does not do. Therefore we are ending our agreement to remove ourselves from a debate we dont belong in and to prevent any outside group from using H&R Block to promote their agenda. Gun Dealers: If H&R Block has been doing your taxes, email and let them know how long they've profited from doing business with gun owners! You might mention exactly how much they charged last year and tell them you won't be back this year (or ever) until they change their attitude. They have to see REAL DOLLARS walking out the door, not hypothetical numbers. They're accountantsso give them something they can understand:RED INK!!!

Another thing you can mention to H&R is the fact that they are gun control advocates and not gun safety advocates. Also, if we have to , we can also stage demostrations in front of their places of business. The NRA is over 4 million members strong.

With respect to all....Do you think it is in your best interest to trust part time, seasonal workers to do the most important task you have.....??? Paying your taxes. This is your hard earned money that is going where? THE GOVERNMENT !! Use full time professionals that are trained daily for this. A good CPA can save you more then there fee.

It is hard for me to believe that an Icon of America would turn its back on the constitution of the United States in favor of left wing liberals grounded in destroying our rights as Americans. I am sure you have what you think are good reasons but the antigunners are claiming a victory for their unAmerican cause. The word is out and we are letting everyone we can know your stand on this issue. I am sure your founders would not be happy with your turn around in favor of these views which do not reflect AMERICA....This part of what I sent to them.
