INFO REQ:Gays in Brit Military?

One of our local socialist pinhead newspaper columnists penned a piece today about how terrible "don't ask, don't tell" is, and how it should be scrapped. I want to write a letter to the editor, but I confess I don't have any hard data. One of the things he did was point to the U.K. and their decision to let in Pink Paratroopers and how well it was working. I strongly suspect the average "Tommy" doesn't care for fellow troopers who are "light in their jump boots" any more than the average G.I. does. However, their opinion is being suppressed by the same impartial, objective news media that is suppressing all dissent on the massive failure of that countries' gun laws. Any anecdotal(?) evidence, links, or data you could give me would be greatly appreciated, if only for the future. I am certain my letter will not be published (not being "lock-step liberal), but not trying is precisely what they want us to do. Thanx in advance.

    Somehow, I think basically this: "It's none of my business, and if you ask me about my sexual orientation, that is None of Your Business!"What the hell has happened over the last few years? Don't we have any of that thing called "Manners" anymore? I can see it all now. You go to a Business Conference and are introduced to several Clients and potential Clients. "May I present Mrs. Smith?" you are asked. Your Reply, "Do you prefer Men or Women?" Introduced to Mr. Jones, your first comment is: "What is your sexual preference?" John and Jane Doe is introduced to you and the first thing you inform them, "I like girls!"Who gives a Sh--? Don't tell me a thing about your sexual views, ....I'm not interested. Stay in the f--kin' closet. If you want out, don't try to use me to aid you. I have no interest in whether or not you "need to tell somebody."What's happened to Cold Showers?

    I'm a 20 year vet. I knew people who were gay, hell, everybody knew. And nobody gave a damn. They did their job and we did ours. I slept with my wife. The gays didn't know that cuz it wasn't something you shot the bull about. Who did they sleep with. To this day I don't have a clue, cuz we didn't talk about that either.
