small town, cool little corner of town for shopping (window shopping too), a few cool bars (I had a t-shirt from the Crazy Horse Saloon) rustic-style buildings, tall mountains go straight up on both sides and you have to look straight up to see the sky, old shacks and mining stuff laying around outside of town, I think winter park and loveland are right by it, it's everything you thought a small town in colorado would be.

I haven't been to much else besides denver, but that place will certainly do it for ya.

just think, at one time there was probably John Denver on the porch twanging on his gitar with nothing but those rooftops for an audience.

Don't just look at the senic areas. Drive right into town and cruise the streets. Beautiful mountain houses. Many are built for winter weather.
