in the CDNN Shotun News ad (Feb 20, pg 33) they are offering a Russian made SxS 12 ga for $189.99. Do any of you have this gun or know anything about them. Are they worth the money? Any help appreciated. Tom

You don't mention the brand but IF this is the one that was reviewed by the American Rifleman a few months ago they gave it a very good rating. If you keep your back issues you may be able to find the review.

They are listed as EAA (European American Armory). They also have pistols listed under the same brand. Tom

Go to the gunbroker.com search in "ask the experts". Type in eaa shotguns. There is a reply from Sept.29, 2001, that has your answer.Good luck.Tideman

Try www.eaacorp.com They are Baikal (sp?) branded shotguns. Look really nice, and I would be interested if I could find one to handle before buying. Have them on auction at GB pretty regularly for nice prices.

Thanks to all. The above gun is the BAIKAL and is mentioned in the Aug 2001 AR. They gave it pretty good marks and said it is a very good buy. I too wish I could hold it to help make up my mind. Tom

I have a Baikal SXS .410 coming to me soon. I'll let you know how she handles.

Ids, I saw that they had almost every gauge and would dearly love to have a 410 also. Who did you buy it from and how much did it cost? Tom

I'm getting mine from a gun store in Alma, WI. My transferring dealer told me that the .410 is hard to find. Mine is running me $318 + Shipping. The name of the store is Countryside Coop. Call at 608-685-4472 or email at Almaguns@mwt.net They are INCREDIBLY slow with their email but claim to have soold many of these at their shop. Give them a call. I found them by placing a notice on the "Wanted" board here on Gunbroker.

There is a dealer near me that stocks them. I liked the .410 but it only comes in full choke. (I believe the 12 gauge has a screw in choke.) They also have a very nice side by side that is even lower priced. They don't match the high priced guns but I felt that for the price they were much better than you would expect.I see now that he WAS talking about the SXS.They also have an over under.[This message has been edited by gruntled (edited 02-27-2002).]
