This oughta upset everybody:

How they vote in the United Nations:

Below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations records:

Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time

Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time

Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time

United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time.

Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time.

Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time.

Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time.

Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time.

Pakistan votes against the United States 75% of the time.

Libya votes against the United States 76% of the time.

Egypt votes against the United States 79% of the time.

Lebanon votes against the United States 80% of the time.

India votes against the United States 81% of the time.

Syria votes against the United States 84% of the time.

Mauritania votes against the United States 87% of the time.

U S Foreign Aid to those that hate us:

Egypt, for example, after voting 79% of the time against the United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.

Jordan votes 71% against the United States

And receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

Pakistan votes 75% against the United States

Receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

India votes 81% against the United States

Receives $143,699,000 annually.

Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes (and gasoline).

Pass this along to every taxpaying citizen you know. And send to your congressman, who should be disgraced but couldn't care less.

Disgusting isn't it?

Wake up America! [8D]

This popped up in my church a few years back. I was angry, but not surprised.

Our Muslim "friends" are truly not, nor do I believe they ever will be.

I somehow find it amusing to see our 1980's era enemy Libya is a more reliable voting partner than our outsourcing "friend" India in UN votes...[:0]

Since I did a report on U.S. foreign aid and the U.N. during my senior year of high school (1972), I've been preaching (mostly on deaf or ignorant ears), "get us out of the U.N. and the World Bank!"

How many of those votes involve Isreal? You might instead ask how many times does their "friend" the United States vote against them?

Just goes to show, you can't buy friends! Plus others envy wealth, and resent it and always want to pull the top dog down off the mountain.

HAIRY, I agree with you. We need to get the USA out of the Un. Or at least get the Un the hell out of the USA.
The road to hell is paved with COMPROMISE.

Yeah. . .all of the Arab countries vote every year that Israel is racist and illegitimate. Thats called "envy".

Meanwhile none of those Arab countries have freedoms of speech or religion, and many of them don't even have adult literacy rates approaching 90% (in some cases not even 60%). The practice of Christianity is literally a crime in Saudi Arabia, but Israel is a rogue evil country?

Israel's votes are probably as much or more in line with the USA's than any other country, even including Canada and Mexico's.

The UN is a disgrace. Its a worthless organization comprised of tin-pot dictators, and designed to enhance the reputation and status of tin-pot dictatorships.

beantownshootah: quote: Yeah. . .all of the Arab countries vote every year that Israel is racist and illegitimate. Thats called "envy". Not so; the description is, unfortunately, accurate.

Can anyone who is not Jewish come to Israel and receive immediate citizenship? If not, why not?

Why is the State only for those of Jewish background? If an African state were to do the same, there would be no hesitancy in calling it racist.

BTW, do all citizens of Israel have identical rights? Nope.

Can someone who is non-Jewish purchase and own land in Israel? What?--you said "No"?

Just how do you wish to define a racist state anyway--every one except Israel? LOL

No one can come to Israel and receive "immediate" citizenship, though there is an abbreviated process for Jews and family members of Jews.

Interestingly, the historical roots of that provision were established by the British Mandate of Palestine, ratified by the League of Nations, the precursor to today's UN in 1922. . .the same one that has fun condemning Israel every few months in meaningless lopsided, Arab-heavy votes.

There are somewhat analogous rights of return for expatriate nationals or their descendants in Germany, Bulgaria, Liberia, Ireland, India, and a host of other countries. The exact details and rights of the returnees vary, of course, but this phenomenon is not at all unique to Israel.

    quote:
Why is the State only for those of Jewish background?

Why do you propagate racist fictions?

Israeli Christians and Muslims (and Buddhists) enjoy full citizenship rights, including the right to vote, freedoms of speech, subsidized healthcare, etc. There are Arab members of the Israeli parliament. In fact, the Arab median standard of living is higher in Israel than elsewhere in the Middle East.

But to address the question you didn't ask, as you well know, the Israeli right of return was created (not by Jews) because of Jews historical and ongoing persecution throughout the rest of the world. Most of the persons taking advantage of it were subjected to said Jew-hatred, including the large number of recent immigrants from France, where historical anti-Semitism is making a nasty comeback.

    quote:
If an African state were to do the same, there would be no hesitancy in calling it racist.

    Liberia. . .pot. . kettle. . .etc. . .

beantownshootah: Thanks for the clarification. Can you imagine, that all this time I was under the impression the Zionists were concerned about the numbers of Arabs overcoming the numbers of Jews and thus changing the character of the State.

I was wrong in thinking the Zionists were concerned about it, but you indicate it is not an issue. Thank you.

What about the "right of return" of those who were BORN there & whose ancestors have lived there for thousands of years?
