    just now at AVERAGE levels here in western Mt. but supposed to get lots more here shortly HOPE SO I hate to eat smoke all summer long.

    its a 100% safe bet Mt will burn every summer, but the snow pack amount determines just how early its starts burning. a good summer is when we have 180% of average snowpack. rivers flow full with no restrictions as to fishing/floating. the irrigation folks can water their crops, and people can have campfires on their vacations.

    Yesterday we had what is being called the 9th largest snowfall in recorded history here. the official was 8." More like 5" where I live, further from the mountains, the less precip falls. Today it is mostly melted.

    Still, we will take any we can get.

    The big snow storms have missed but the weather people keep telling the big one is coming. All winter long they have been saying that but very little and we need some mositure

    we just got three inches of ice here this morning. started as snow and turned to sleet. You cannot even walk outside right now without falling.
