Our town gave out free Rabies shots and licenses for all dog owners of the township. The two vets were very good and the township gave you a free licenses if you came today only. They also gave your dog a free vet check as well. It just happened to be our vet[:)][:)][:)] We made a donation for her time towards the spca. They also gave us a free coupon for our dogs to get micro-chipped this year. The licenses were 22 dollars if you didn't come today, but you had to bring your dog. The line was around the building but we were in and out in 15 minuets with our two mutts. Finally, something for all those high tax dollars[;)] Oakie

Good deal Oakie... 'Bout time cities/towns start doing something right.

BTW What was the percentage of return on your taxes anyway?
    Maybe 0.00001% [B)]

no. We had 11 officers and three chiefs go to jail. All acquitted and given their jobs back at a big expense to us tax payers. They were charged with prostitution, corruption and running drugs. Two were arrested for attempted murder. Real nice.

I donate to our local no kill shelter also, but they are not affiliated with the HSUS, or the ASPCA. Both of those groups are left wing organizations that are anti-firearm and anti-hunting among other things.

Didn't mean for it to be upsetting John.

I wouldn't worry about it, your heart is in the right place,....that's what really matters.

No kidding, that is nearly 3 times our starting pay. I bet they have a 20 year retirement with full benefits too. No wonder northern states are going broke, gotta love those Unions.

When their salaries came out in our local paper, people went nuts. They make more then the chief of a large city near us. We live in a town that has the smallest population of any town in south jersey. We are mostly woods, The Warton State Forrest. We are the largest township per square miles, but our township homes are only a couple square miles. You cannot drive three blocks here without seeing a police car, yet we have a high crime rate with not much ever solved.[B)] We do have some awesome patrolmen and are very dedicated to us citizens, but they are few and far between. I finally met our new chief and he is a great guy. Just things got out of control and no one knows how to reel it back in. Not really fair to just let about twenty officers go, but that is what needs to happen, or reduce the salary. They are being paid like they are playing in the NFL.
