I learned today that Farmers Markets are Raycist. Who would have thought it.
I enjoy going to the farmers market in Raleigh. They have some good deals and they have several places to eat that are really good. Now that I know they are raycist I am not sure I should go[;)]
BTW I see as many bl*ck folks there as honkys both as vendors and shoppers.
The story:

C&P
Two California professors are criticizing farmers? markets for causing ?environmental gentrification?(That is a hell of a label) in which ?habits of white people are normalized.?(WTH does that suposed to mean???)
San Diego State University geography professors Pascale Joassart-Marcelli and Fernando J. Bosco contend that farmers? markets are ?white spaces? oppressing minorities in a chapter for "Just Green Enough," an environmental anthology focused on urban development.
Environmental gentrification is defined as a process where ?environmental improvements lead to ? the displacement of long-term residents,? according to the anthology.
The professors, as reported by Campus Reform, say farmers? markets are ?exclusionary? because locals cannot ?afford the food and/or feel excluded from these new spaces.?
The SDSU professors, who teach classes like ?Geography of Food? and ?Food Justice,? argue that ?farmers? markets are often white spaces where the food consumption habits of white people are normalized.?
Here is some further reading that will instill more white guilt:

Enjoy!
Now I think I am going to truck down the the Farmers Market and get me some Potatoes and while I'm there I may get me an Oyster Po-boy[:D]

Around here almost every painter, sheetrocker, roofer, plumber, electrician, framer Etc is Hispanic. New trucks and businesses along with a ton of Hispanic Churches.
Go figure
I remember going to the Atlanta Farmers Market as a kid with my Dad. They used to have a good Gun Show there too.
Might backfire if enough black people realize they're being held and used "as voters" on a Democratic plantation.
Do they take EBT cards at the Farmers Market?
Yes, there are several farmer\venders that take the State Bridge cards here.
There is a pizza place near me that makes white pies. They might send you one. Bound to be racist as it is topped with only white cheeses.
I have a nephew a ex BIL and some of there family set up at a farmers market some where around Columbus Oh . they get top dollar ++ on all there produce along with the other vendors
even trying to get a spot to be a vendor is almost impossible from what they tell me lots of people waiting on a opening
because ebt and I am sure other vouchers are taken ..
my Nephew has stated they ( card holders ) do not not seem too care about cost after all its free to them

I'm thinking about getting a pizza for supper. How can I find out if that makes me a bigot before I buy it?
If you have to ask you probably are !
I know I am.
Saw one of those 'card holders' at the grocery store the other day....at the meat counter loading 3 huge beef briskets into his cart.
They eat better than the rest of us and do it for free on our dollars.

About 2 weeks ago, a local grocery chain had trimmed brisket for $1.19/lb. I got $126 worth for use in my new smoker.
I had to pay cash, cuz I hain't got me a card.

Yep, the community where I work is 89% white and has a farmer's market so I am not sure whose territory they are infringing on.
Apparently I am gathering from this is that black people don't eat vegetables?

Don't have it delivered to the plantation.

One day the instructor was explaining to the class why it is impossible for a black person to be a bigot. He said to be a bigot you have to have power and control over the people you are bigoted against. I told him that made it impossible for me to be a bigot because I didn't have power and control over anybody, not even my wife. He said saying that made me a bigot. So I guess I'm officially a bigot but I don't let it influence my thoughts or actions. I guess you could say I am prejudice against lies, stupidity and intentional ignorance.

Yep. Around here they are worth double. I'm not joking either..
