Should've seen 'da wifes face...................

Yesterday, took 'da wifes Equinox in to get check out for a rattle in the front end that I couldn't find.
We had set up an appointment with the service center. Jed the service manager greets us, tell him about the rattle that only sounds off on bumps and rough roads. He takes the key and goes for a drive, comes back and puts it up on a lift. A little while later he comes over to us and says that he found the problem. One of the lower control arms, the rubber bushing is rotted out and that is causing the rattle.
'da wife asks him how much to fix. He looks her straight in the eyes and says "$52,000.00 plus tax."
Her face dropped, went white, her lips moved but no sound came out.
When she caught her breath, she said something like what the !#^&(&%$%(*I%!!! bs are you talking about???
He looked again, right square in her eyes and said,"Well, that is what we can sell you the new 3/4 ton 4X4, extended cab, with basic creature comforts that your husband wants."
Not so much of a nice ride home..................I guess her sence of humor wasn't working.

On a more serious not, we keep having this problem with all our fords. The explorer and the expedition and had three front ends replaced so far. The sway arms, bushings and ty rods keep going. The last time I had to drive over a two hundred miles from our cabin to home, going twenty miles an hour to get home safely. It was dark on a Sunday and nothing was open. Next truck will NOT be a ford. Looking at a Dodge pickup of something else. No cheveys as we both don't like them. Oakie
