Got the final payment on my business and now Donna and I can think about building our new home down south. We leave in four weeks for Myrtle Beach and then to Athens, Georgia to start looking for ground.I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders for now. Thank you guys for being my support system and letting me share this with you. Oakie[:)]

    My sister and BIL live in Oglethorpe county
    (borders athens/clarke county) and he mentioned
    that there is an 8 acre tract next door to their land.....

    How much land you looking for?

    No and yes. We own three homes. Two were built in 1970's and my father and I built the cabin in the mountains in 1981.

    We don't know. When we see it, we will buy. We found one that has 22 acres and a bass pond, but we really don't care if we have that much land. We just want something secluded and easy to maintain as we get older. I want horses again but Donna says, no way. Too much work and we won't be able to travel with animals at home. I just really got to get down there and look. Looking on the internet just sucks except for the fact that you can see how good the school systems are for resale value. Too many factors to consider, so we just have to go look for our selves.Another reason for us seeing it first hand is because we found a really nice place last year and made on offer. We only saw it online. We went to Georgia and found out our neighbors would have been the Outlaw motorcycle club house.
