By the looks, some of them date back quite a bit.
Some will go on the gun cabinet. Some will go on my toolbox at the shop.
Your scope they should be a 30% Angleand your scope Mounts should be a 20% angle, making your scope a total of 50% Angle from the plane of what your barrel is. The reason why you want this is because at 1000 yards the 22 Long rifle has a drop of about 244 feet. And when it finally does get there, you are only going to have about 15 pounds of energy left in it. Which is just about enough to penetrate paper [:D]
The second suggestion would be fire slug your barrel. To do this make sure you clean out all the copper and all the lead out of it. And then just sit down and shoot 500 rounds of lead ammunition through it without cleaning it. After 500 rounds go ahead and clean your barrel to get all the lead out of it, what you're doing is smoothing out all the high ridges on your riflings.
Third suggestion if you don't already have one get an 18 inch barrel. 22 Long rifle's will get up to maximum velocity at 19 inches length. After that the barrel actually slows the velocity down.
The final suggestion would be buy one of Neil Joneses 22 Long rifle accuracy gauge, along with a good scale.. What Accuracy gauge does is measures the rim thickness so you can separate your ammo by my headspace, and then you have to shoot and figure out through trial what I had space is the best headspace for your rifle . Plus it is said to let you know how much primer material you have in the cartridge, I don't know if that would actually do that, but with a 22 Long rifle a portion of your energy you get is from the primer. After you separate your ammo by headspace, then you need to weigh each one to make sure you get a cartridge that has the same is amount of powder as the rest that you're shooting. Keep in mind that you will have a couple of grain variation in weight in your projectiles one way or the other. Keep in mind even though you called out a bunch of ammo, you can still shoot them at shorter ranges just fine. So you're not wasting them. You are just getting the best of the best separated for long-range shooting
