Question for Kentucky Members

Are Elk native to your state. I can honestly say I didn't think they were. The reason I ask is because the state of Wisconsin just bought 75 of them from Kentucky to help bolster our Elk herd here. From what I understand we have about 150 of them now. The 75 that arrived here have been put into a caged in area. In about 6 weeks they will be released into an are in proximity to where they are now.

Used to have native eastern elk, many moons ago. Now you have a great herd of Rocky Mountain elk. Pa has a herd too, but does not have the numbers that Ky has.
Rob, I heard that PA had elk again. Where are they, out west???? I know they are not on the eastern part of the state, I think. Oak
