At least he lets the Generals make the decisions and he is always praising the good work of the military.

At least they are not fighting with ROE anymore.

Maybe the Donald Trump is an excellent negotiator. I know this sounds crazy, but maybe he knows what he's doing.

Seriously, the best negotiators I've seen have half their own team thinking they are crazy.

You start from a position of strength and work down. You Bluff. You talk big. You let your opponent think you are crazy. You leave nothing on the table. You fight for every last morsel.

Right now he is letting the world think he is ruthless and a madman. The world hated Ronald Reagan. Europe thought he was senile and wanted to provoke Russia into a nuclear war. He just wanted to tell Gorbachev "no" across the negotiation table.

Maybe Trump knows what he's doing.

are you serious have you not been listening to all the BS he is spewing it does sound good i must admit but in reality not doable without bankrupting the nation, i would think we are a stones through from being upsidedown already where is he going to get the money to do that. 1st off we are a nation of freedom we will not charge anyone to pay up before we help them out to protect them.
build a wall not a fence as he said ,where will the money come from 1900 miles of wall have you priced labor and materials lately(who's going to work illegals , no pun intended)no one else wants to work .
if IF you build a wall you still have to man it you can't just leave it and hope it does the job all by itself(wheres the money)round up 11 million illegals (wheres the money and man power)to do this.i have traveled through out this western half nation and everywhere i look the so called illegals or Messicans (like some say) are the ones doing the construction dirty work. yard people, food establishments, motel work, casinos back door work.
honestly look around and see who is in the background doing the dirty work that all the entitled people getting a fat check every month don't want to do cause why? you ask!!! uncle sugar is sending them a monthly check.don't just set your eyesight on the south border why stop there and signal it out do the north border too.what about the oceans that we have don't you think those people can swim, boats, coyotes will still run them over here.
this man is and can negotiate real estate, more power to him on that.

He is not the man for me to lead this nation.
I do agree this nation is caught with it's pant down on border issues. we let it go to far.it's like cancer there is no good medicine for this.same thing with PC issues it's going to far already.
also where is his policies on world issues.i am more concerned about the sand people , Russians,China,Africa where does he stand on that?????nuclear bombs, there are real real bad people trying to kill us & destroy the USofA , i don't think the illegals are threatening to behead you and me, rape your women and children and change us to praying 5-6 times a day facing East where is he on those issues???????.
i could go on and on but enough already
Trump is not the one to lead this great Nation of ours,my thoughts, my take.

He is certainly a populist candidate. I love it that he is taking these unhindered shots at candidates and issues. I think Pataki has served as an example for other candidates that they don't want to publically criticize Trump because he will not be politically correct in his response.

He is on point about illegal immigration so I hope he keeps stirring the pot!

What would you expect and/or like to see Trump accomplish should he become president? And, would the results of such a feat actually improve how citizens view politicians and government in general?

What I expect is that Trump will drive this country into the ground.

What I would like is for him to wake up the morning of Inauguration day and become a man of honor, integrity, morals, conservative values, pretty much everything he is not. Then from there put people in place that share that list of values and allow them to run the country.

I seriously doubt that anything will happen to stop the traditional progressive politicians that infest our government at all levels. What can we expect then? More of the same that we live with 24/7, but some people see that as tolerable...go figure.

Too early to tell. Give him six mouths, then we can tell. I haven't even had a chance to vote for him yet (Trump).

How does the Electoral College vote work? That's the only vote that actually counts. From what I understand, they want Hillary.

Iowa could really be exciting should Trump or Cruz and Bernie Sanders win. Talk about a rejection of the democratic and republican establishment, that would be it.

Added: [:)][;)][:)] Bernie came close enough to make it all worthwhile! Let's not forget the rejection of the media too!

Log in problem cut off my answer.

The members of the electoral college will be selected after the popular vote and will be pledged to vote according to the popular vote in their state.

There are lots of "ifs" and "ors" and "what if's" but we need to get the herd thinned down to a manageable number before we get too worried about that step.

Right now we've got several primaries, etc, to survive before we know who will be in the final mud fight[V]

Wikipedia has a good article on the Electoral College if you need clarification https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_College_(United_States)

It doesn't matter who wins... we have past the point of no return. America will continue to decline. The next President may slow the decline, but we will fall just as all of the great empires eventually did. [V]

I'm not a Trump guy, but, choose which statement fits the Country best:

"the best predictor of the future is the past"

    or

"if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got"

So if we elect a "good ol' boy" then I can almost close my eyes and see where we are going to go...
