Chris Matthews: Way Gingrich Said "Juan" At Debate

Listen to the venom that spews from Chrissy's mouth when he says that Juan Williams has a lot of guts getting in front of that audience, a conservative white audience, about 2 minutes and 10 seconds into the video. He acts as if a black person is not welcome in the midst of conservative white people, especially if they are those, uh, racist white southerners from South Carolina. Whose teats and whose pockets fed and feeds this roach?

Most of my black friends are conservative, and only two of them voted for Obama last time, and both of those say it won't happen again.

In the words of my buddy Carl, who is black, "All he did was prove to me that it doesn't matter the color of you skin, a Chicago democrat is corrupt."

Matthew's is the typical "inside the beltway" insider who can't control his mouth many times....by his own admission. This seems to me one of those times. I watch his show sometimes but his yelling over folks just gets on my nerves. His new JFK book is, by the way, lousy IMO.

Queenie (Mr. Andrea Mitchell), who quizzed him is another loser. She wants to make sure that "states rights" is code for racist people as well.

Did Matthews call Romeny a racist too?! lol

Check out Al Sharpton on Newt Gingrich regarding the same issue:

Al Sharpton blasted Newt Gingrich on Tuesday, accusing the presidential candidate of using "racial demagoguery" to win votes in the contentious South Carolina primary.

Gingrich's highly charged exchange with Juan Williams about his infamous comments on food stamps and child labor became the most talked-about moment of Monday's debate in the Palmetto State. On Tuesday's "Rachel Maddow Show," Sharpton and Maddow discussed the debate, which seemed to trouble them both.

Sharpton noted that South Carolina still uses the Confederate Flag, saying that issues of race had to be seen in a different light there. He pronounced himself to be aghast when the audience cheered Gingrich for taking on Williams, who he called a "black conservative on Fox." (Williams would likely disagree with the "conservative" characterization.)

"Gingrich and others are playing to an element they believe to be there," Sharpton said. He also picked up Gingrich's comments earlier in the month, where he said that the "African American community should demand paychecks and not be satisfied with food stamps."

"This is not subtle," Sharpton said. "This is not some inference...this is blatant." He pointed out that the majority of people on food stamps are white.

Sharpton concluded by saying that Gingrich had actually been to black communities with him as part of an education initiative, and that his language around race had been markedly different. For that reason, he said, he saw Gingrich's current comments as "a cynical manipulation of racial demagoguery in order to get some votes."

I guess he should have called Juan, Fred, or Joe, or maybe
    Chico, or Tyrone.
These people are idiots plain, and simple.

it couldn't be that Gingrich and Williams know each other very well and Juan was trying a gotcha question which Newt openly despises...
I didn't even mind what Mathews said but Andrea Mitchel has gone from drinking the koolaid to making it in industrial quantity and serving it to the masses, rather like Jim Jones. She was trying to turn every comment into a racial issue.
One other thing, I am sure every black person who wanted to attend that debate (and could afford the ticket) was in the audience.

The one interesting part of this is trying to require an ID card to vote. I think the knee jerk reaction is; "Hell yeah, we gotta stop the cheating!" but I wonder if this is just a justification for national ID cards on the road to RFD chips.

Not to be prickly but how does a thread like this remain under general topics when a question about public prayed get shuffled off to the politics forum post haste?

If you have not watched the video at the below link, you have got to watch it! You'd think that the GOP had posted the Confederate flag at the MLK memorial. LOL These anti-traditional, radically progressive lowlifes are some really sick people to be associated with in any way, shape, or form, that is unless you are making fun of them, or putting them in their place in another manner...seriously.

The race card is the last card. Its gonna be funny to watch them throw the Mormon card next.

The left wing media is a pathetic circus side show playing to an even more pathetic audiance.

The people in the black community's media were the first to make note that Romney's polygamous great grandfather had five wives.

they will say anything. I just wonder when we are going to get sick of being devalued based on our perception of differences between people. In other words. When are we going to get sick of being called racist by racists?
Gingrich probably could have just said "poor people" instead of "black people and poor people" but his real message was how he wants everybody to "get a job, get a better job and then someday learn to own the job"...Somehow, that message got lost on the liberal journalists who are only looking to tear down the American Ideal where everyone is allowed to achieve thru hard work and dedication.
I think it is telling these networks are pounding Gingrich. They know he is the only candidate who has the ability, drive and guts to expose Obama for what he truely is. A puppet

These are smart, lowlife hustlers, and they are in both parties. They are progressives of the left and right wings who are doing their level best to get the independents to vote. They would like to get them to vote for a certain party, but above all, stop the trend toward getting off of the two party plantation to form a third party movement.
