Barker and Addicks Reservoirs in Houston

Word is that Barker and Addicks Reservoir levees are crumbling, to some extent. Things could get a whole lot worse if they go.
What's next?

    False report...levee's have held.
    Flood waters beginning to recede.
    18-20 dead...40,000 + homes under water
    in Houston/Harris county alone.
    Surrounding counties is similar situation.

    14K National guards deployed.
    All first responders 12 on 12 off.

    Boy, I hope you are right. Two of my cousins who live in West Houston will be awfully glad to hear this, especially since I got tis word from them an hour or so ago! Their homes have not been flooded yet...thank goodness!

    They are doing a "controlled" release to
    protect the levee's.
    This is causing a slight rise down stream.

    Yes, that is what I heard, too, but when my cousin mentioned there was some crumbling taking place...I became worried. Thanks for the note about the false alarm!
