I am at work, but not planning to do much. A little later this morning, Dawnie will bring to the station the food she has been preparing over the last two days, and we will eat. I sampled some of the turkey last night, and it was perfect. I hope the boys and girls appreciate all her hard work.

Nunn - And a Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. And by the way - Thanks for what you do... People in your town right now get to relax and enjoy Thanksgiving because folks like you are out there keeping the area safe... Officers do not get the respect they desirve.

Happy Thanksgiving back at you and to everyone else in GB land. Would like to echo what sigarmsp226 said David. Thank you and all others who have to work today, from law enforcement, to those who take care of the sick and elderly, to fire and rescue, and especially our armed forces. God Bless you all, and Thank You!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to Nunn and all the others working today to keep this country going. My wife is a nurse and although she is not working today, she has spent many holidays at the hospital looking after others. Even with recent events, we still have a great country and this is due in no small part to the continued service of many individuals who put others needs before their own.

All of us living in this country have much to be thankful for today.
    Regards, MAALOX

Happy Thanksgiving David and Dawnie. Hope you have a lovely Day.

I worked many a holiday as a nurse, and appreciate the thanks from
those who appreciate it. It's all in the line of duty, and
those who do it regularly don't really think about it. You
enjoy the day with those you serve. Giving is what you do. I
have been humbled more than once observing the quiet and heroic
struggles of many brave people. Drawing on a strength, I've
watched in true awe sometimes. Wouldn't trade those days I
missed with my family, I was the one who was blessed.
The officers I work with now are great people, who treat others
with respect and dignity. They have a hard job. I am glad to
have them watching over my community.

I just had two big plates full of turkey, cornbread dressing, and giblet gravy, topped off with two slices of homemade cherry pie. (I know it's traditional, but I don't care much for pumpkin pie.) The other cops seemed to be pleased with Dawnie's efforts too. Some other people brought some other snack foods and desserts. We ate good.[:p]

    I think I'll keep her.[:D]

If the cornbread dressing was good Texas stuff, ya ought to pay her! [:D]
