My wife cannot cook scrambled eggs

She always over cooks them. Dry and resembles little rubber balls. Won't even stay on your fork and have no taste. She always compliments me on my scrambled eggs
yeah, I agree they are good and I usually cook the scrambled eggs; but this morning, she did. Already cooking them before I got the biscuits in the oven. Have tried to tell her how to cook them----has done absolutely no good.

I recall the scrambled eggs we were served at Camp Pendleton; They'd mix up a bunch of eggs, pour them onto the greiddle, stir abit. Then when they were looking just about right, they'd take another pitcher of beaten eggs, pour them onto the nicely done eggs, stir them up and serve- guess it was their way of cooking eggs in a faster time, but I found it best just to skip the eggs instead of that raw mixture[xx(]

if theyre done in the pan, they'll be over done on the plate. if she doesnt get that, then theres no helping her.

+1. I am the designated egg cooker around here. (That and making sweet tea are the few times I'm allowed to cook.)

I'm the egg fryer in this family. Wife can't fry eggs if her life depended on it. Everything else, she does great.

    dammit.
    hate it when kev's right.

    he's right.

get her to play around with the difference between milk and water in the scramble. And then maybe chunks of cream cheese. Get her to envision the end result.

    Good luck.

Just tell her, beneteau, about 10 times. That's what I did!

and now, if I want some scrambled eggs, I'm the one cookin' 'em.

After Camp Pendleton, I would not eat eggs for 10 years. I believe we were fed powdered eggs.

The ones I had during Desert Shield/Storm were just about every color under the sun. Also you needed a straw not a fork to eat them.

Can't remember tha last time I was ever able to tell my wife how to do anything. She is always right and I am always wrong. Every time I try to convince her I am right, I get in trouble.

my wife cant make french toast or grilled cheese to save her life. My mom taught me to make those at 10 years old and from then on I was able to cook for myself.[:D]

..Guess it takes that magic touch. We both tend to over cook scrambled eggs. I'm a lot better than her at "over medium". Hers often have a hard yolk. Mine are still thick liquid, but no "snot" in the whites.
..I don't know how the restaurant cooks turn out perfect eggs with a full dining room. After all, 30 seconds can make a huge difference.

My wife likes overcooked scrambled eggs and I like them soft scrambled. So, when we are having scrambled eggs, I watch until the eggs are the way I like and she takes out my portion and puts it on my plate; then proceeds to brown hers! [:D]

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

I have to sneak in the kitchen to cook anything edible. My wife has been ruining the same old food in the same old way for over 35 years.

I've been thinking of taking four of her vulcanized pancakes, her rock hard eggs, overcooked vegetables, a couple of straws for axles and making a replica honey wagon out of it.

I like to beat the eggs in a bowl, and add a pinch of baking powder, along with a dash of canned cream, and cook over a med-low fire....as the eggs rise they become fluffy,as I turn them once..perfect everytime...[;)]

That makes perfectly good sense to me. My mother who grew up on the farm would always scramble in a little milk before adding the eggs to the skillet. I like them soft or hard, but I don't want to see any part of the eggs that are not cooked.
