Well I had a few hours off between shifts yesterday so hit the range with some guys from work. It was a last min deal and my boss wanted me to work some OT. I told her I would be more then happy to work but I would not be there till after we hit the range. Good thing is that my partner for the day went with us too so it worked out good.

Looks like fun. The guy with the M1A is a copy cat. Observe:

Close but not quite. It is one of my M1A's. It is a MK14 Mod 0 build (Scout) not a Socom in a EBR [;)]. Looks like you got a bit of stuff hanging off yours. My next mod for that gun is a VFG and a Surefire with turbo head very similar to my AR in pic 3.

Yes it was a blast. We had a few more guns out there too but these are the highlights.

    It is a Sage EBR:

They retail for about $750 I found mine used for $500 shipped. You may also look into the Troy MCS which everyone seems to love but it makes you M1A look like an AR, I think it is ugly. JAG (I believe) also makes a nice bedded stock that is more of a traditional style.

Work, go to the range....work some OT.
Doesn't sound too bad to me.

    GREAT pics.
Looks like y'all had a GOOD day.

Did you put those sights, and the charging handle, on the shotgun?
Which gas setting is it set on, what ammo do you use?
Just starting to build one, could use some links. [;)][:D][:D]
    Thanks

Mine is a Tromix build. I did the "Galil" set up and HK sights. It was about $250 extra, but I figured with the money I was spending I would just go all out.

I believe it is set on 1 but I have not looked, it is on the standard setting. In mine it will feed anything 1 1/8os or OVER. These guns do NOT cycle super light loads like 1oz bird shot. I am shooting the cheep Remington field type loads in 6, 7 and 8 shot with out problems. I did get a box of 1oz stuff by accident and they do not cycle.

Why do you shoot left-hand and have a right-hand holster?

Well first off that is not me, just the top pic is. I have gone shooting and hung with that buddy several times and never noticed that so I just called him and asked him WTH about that. He is left eye dominate so he shoot rifle left. He shoots pistol right handed with both eyes. He is a good pistol shooter was an MPish (not sure what is MOS was but did VIP security) in the military and is now doing local LEO. He spends lots of time using his pistol and it works for him.

i seen it and figured it had something to do with eye dominance. As im left handed but right eye dominant (thank you mom and dad).

I am guessing about 2' square, I have never been up close to see it. An AR front sight post will cover it. With a 10x scope it is reasonably easy to dial in on it and make hits. With open sites on you can get rounds right in there with the occasional hit. It is set up on a dirt berm so it is easy to see where your rounds hit.

Looks like a lot of fun, however I notice alot of trash all over the range to include shotgun hulls and brass. A mess like that tends to give us shooters a bad name. Just wondering if anyone ever cleans it up?

I have heard that they do a yearly get together/clean up but I am not sure the last time it was done. It is really sad. There use to be several nice concrete shooting "tables" but now only one is still standing [V] People are such pigs [xx(]

Well that is a right handed holster he is using. I am not sure what one that is but both Galco and Banchi (sp) make nice holsters in that style. There are several other good holster makers out there too.

I do the same thing, shoot handgun right or left handed, and shoot a rifle left handed.

I wuz just thinking what a head-trip you'd lay on a barricade if SWAT showed up with casual wear and MNs. And maybe Cossack hats.

You guys need to work on your shooting stance. Look like girls shooting! [:D] Is that near Spokane? I don't remember any land like that.`I was only there for a short time though.

Well thanks I will wear my short skirt next time too [;)] that might get me a bit of attention. It is not in Spokane. This is in the Yakima Valley about 15 min from Yakima. Yakima sits just south of the middle of the state.

If you wear a kilt please have someone play the pipes. I really do love the pipes. Always did. Think I have a little Irish and Scott in my veins.
